Vintage Serving Tray 1956 Melbourne Olympics with Mexican transfer – as new!

Vintage 1950’s Serving Tray Glass Top 44.7cm 30.2cm Weight 1.49 kilos
The condition of this 67 year old item is remarkably good.. it’s obviously had very little use.
Illustrated that is the fact that it still has it’s original sticker!

I’m not sure of the context, was this made by the Randall concern or did they source these for their customers? Not that it matters! The tray is very well made and in extraordinary excellent condition.
The transfer decoration is consistent with the design ethos of the day, where exotic overseas locations like Mexico were becoming available for Australian travellers after the hiatus of WW2.
Transfers like this were readily available and turned up on almost any surface that could be decorated.
Packing for posting will have to be thorough to protect the glass. Or if possible can be picked up from 3084.
A rare find for the 1950’s or Melbourne Olympics collector!
